Location, Location, Location superb

Pros: You cannot beat the location; the hotel is a little dated but did not hinder my stay I was very comfortable here and would return. The rooftop terrace restaurant has amazing views; I slept well in a comfortable bed... All in all I would return to this hotel.

Cons: Nothing I was happy :-)

An excellent choice.

Pros: It's in the best location possible: port, tram, bus, surface metro, atm, terase restaurant with great view over the water, Grand bazaar, mosques, Bosphorus, all can be reached in 2-4 minutes. The place is clean with personnel doing the cleaning everyday. Definitely a bookmark for me.

Cons: Needs a furniture refresh.

Pros: Great location, very clean, rooftop dining area. Charming character.

Cons: Nothing. Be aware the bathrooms/showers are really small which is not unusual for many European cities particularly when retrofitting old buildings. Not a problem for us but maybe for some.

Pros: I was very pleased with the Alpek Hotel. The location is excellent – close to the port, train and bus station, which makes getting around the city very easy. What I liked the most was the rooftop restaurant: spacious, with an open terrace and a great view of the city. The food is tasty and worth trying. Just about 50-100 meters away is a local market, and about 500-600 meters away is the famous Grand Bazaar, where you can find a lot of products and souvenirs. I highly recommend this hotel!

Pros: Very nice and clean hotel in a strategic location in Istanbul, just a short walk from the ferry terminal, Galata Bridge, Egyptian Bazaar, New Mosque, tram, and bus stops. With the tram, you can easily reach other areas like Sultanahmet, Galata, and Taksim. Rooms and bathrooms are not very big, but comfortable enough, especially if you spend most of the time around the city. The bed was very comfortable. The real highlight is the rooftop terrace with amazing views of the Istanbul landscape, from the Galata Bridge to the Bosphorus Bridge. Breakfast is served there as well: good quality, lots of Turkish dishes, though not many European or sweet options. Staff at the reception were very kind and helpful.

Cons: Even though it has a rooftop terrace, it is slightly more expensive than other nearby hotels. Some finishing touches in the rooms and common areas could be improved.
