Depiero Hotel Karaköy

Pros: It was really close to everything, Sishane metro station, Halic metro station, Galata tower is 5min away, Galata bridge is 5min away. The room was really clean, and the breakfast was really good. I was a bit sceptical reading some of the comments here about the area, but not at any moment did I not feel comfortable. I walked through the area 2-3am in the morning, 8 in the morning, or just 2 pm. Everything was just fine, normal working people area. I highly suggest it, I know where I'm staying when I come back to Istanbul. Staff was very helpful, always there to help.

Cons: Filter coffee at breakfast. It was my first contact with it, I wish there was espresso or turkish coffee. But I say this because I really couldn't find anything I didn't like.

Pros: It was my utmost pleasure staying in this hotel. From our check-in to our checkout, our experience was superb. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the room itself was spotless with an amazing shower that felt like a waterfall. The buffet breakfast was also very good and there was never any shortage of food. Would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a budget friendly and comfortable stay in Istanbul, especially near Galata.

Nice hotel in the middle of the tool vendor district.

Pros: A very nice hotel in the middle of the tool vendor district. The room had no windows but was nicely made, with ambiental lighting and quality materials it felt cozy. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was very nice, clean. The guy from the reception was very nice and helpful. Elevator working perfectly. Kebab restaurant nearby.

Cons: I can’t really complain…

I highly recommend this hotel.

Pros: It’s very close to the metro station, a bus stop, and the harbor for boat rides, which makes it easy to get around. The hotel staff is friendly and welcoming. The room looks exactly like in the photos and is very clean. Breakfast is varied, delicious, and served warm. On our last day, after check-out, we were allowed to leave our luggage at the hotel, which was very helpful and convenient.

Cons: The hotel is located in a tucked-away street, so keep in mind that your taxi won’t be able to drop you off right in front of it — you’ll need to walk about 5–10 minutes (note for tourists).

Pros: The hotel itself is very good, the reception the room. Is at the highest level compared to other hotels I've stayed here. They gave a free breakfast to us prior to our check in time. So nice of them

Cons: The location, the neighbourhood is not good at all. I will prefer this hotel to be elsewhere but at this location.

Economic , compact small hotel is great location

Pros: Staff were great and facilities . Economically good compared to other small hotels and handy central location . Reception staff very helpfull .

Cons: Everything was fine although room was smallish but suffice for 3 nights stay

Pros: We had a very nice stay. The hotel is on a walking distance from the metro and one of the ports. The area is safe even late at night. Big plus is the breakfast that it offers which is buffet style and has many different flavours.. The staff responded to all our demands on time and professionally.

Cons: There are several shops with building-construction tools on this district, thus unfortunately the hotel doesn't offer any remarkable view. One evening we didn't have warm water but it was fixed probably early the next morning. The bed wasn't a real double bed as described in our booking but 2 singles joined instead.

Pros: The hotel is modern and well equipped, we enjoyed the breakfast selection and the staff was incredibly friendly.

Cons: The floor of our room was dirty unfortunately. We were not sure if it was vacuumed etc, but our white socks became 'dark' immediately and we didnt receive slippers to avoid that.

Pros: The breakfast was definitely the highlight — fresh, tasty, and with a good variety

Cons: However, the room was very small and not comfortable for more than one person. The walls were thin, and I could hear everything from the neighboring rooms, which made it hard to relax or sleep well. Overall, not a terrible stay, but I wouldn’t recommend it for light sleepers or longer visits.
