Galata Calm Tale Hotel

Pros: Very good location, clean and big rooms. Really helpful and kind staff

Cons: There is no elevator and the stairs are too narrow and difficult

A simple, comfortable stay with everything we needed and a very kind host.

Pros: The room was very nice and exactly what we needed. We were mostly out during the day and used the room mainly for sleeping and a short rest in between, and for that it was perfect. The room was renovated, clean, and well taken care of, with everything we needed. The host was very kind, helpful, and welcoming, which made our stay even better.

Cons: The only small downsides were that the Wi-Fi signal in our room was weak (while it worked perfectly in our friends’ room) and the soundproofing was not great. However, we slept very well, so it didn’t really bother us.

Great staff and location

Pros: The hotel is perfectly located, surrounded by great restaurants and coffee shops, and the tram station is just a 4–5 minute walk away. The staff were exceptional, so friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back!

Pros: The location was central and convenient. The top-floor room was lovely and clean and neat. It had a nice view on the quiet street.

Cons: The stairs up 3 flights were a challenge with all our luggage, but we knew that as going to be the case, and felt it was worth it, considering the price and location.

Pros: Very good price for value. Location perfect. Super comfortable room and nice bathroom. Highly recommend for a stay in Istanbul

Kindly atmosphere

Pros: Actually l love all of staff and they help me what l need and they are open for helping. Actually they are very kindly and friendly and place is very next to Galata Tower

A nice stay

Pros: First of all, the personnel were extremely nice and helpful, that was much appreciated. The room was clean, and some basic home appliances, like a working hairdryer and a small fridge, were also provided. Another huge advantage is the hotel’s location: central, authentic, and vivid. The hotel is situated close to public transportation (trams and the M2 metro line), and the New Mosque and the Galata Tower are within walking proximity. You can also find many great places to eat out in the area.

Cons: Be prepared to struggle with carrying your suitcase over the stone-paved streets.

Pros: Clean and comfortable. Everything in the hotel worked well. It's a small room, but not too small. Staff were easy to communicate with and responsive. The area is fun to walk around as well. It's very central. I saw some other reviews complaining about having a basement room. Just check the pictures for the room you want and don't book those if you don't want them. We had a room on the second floor.

Pros: Perfect location! Stayed in this hotel for the second time, I like the feel. Simple, smooth check-in, perfect communication and good vibes.

Cons: This time we got a basement room (it had windows and all, but it was somehow below the street level) and it felt a bit humid. I prefered the room on the higher floors :)
