Great place to stay to explore Istanbul.

Pros: Exactly where we wanted to be, good area, near transport The attic bedroom provided a truly great view, and was great. We returned a few days later to one of the standard rooms and that was fine but the attic is worth paying a bit more for that view. Liked the quirky art work placed throughout the hotel and in the rooms. Breakfast was good and staff were particularly friendly and helpful.

Cons: Maybe some of the decor could do with a refresh, but not a biggy.

Perfect stay in glorious Istanbul

Pros: Everything in this hotel is perfect. But especially and without doubt, the kindness and warmth of all the staff. The position is the best, you are near every possible transport, impressive tourist attractions, but it is silent and feels like a home. I don't have enough words to express my gratitude to Mdme Zeynep, Mdmoiselle Asuman and Monsieur Keres, and a special acknowledgment goes to Peri who made us all feel wonderful during the breakfast time. I can't wait to be back there again!

Cons: There is nothing I would change.

Istanbul short break

Unforgettable experience

Pros: We had a truly wonderful stay! The team went above and beyond to make our visit special – when they found out we were celebrating a special occasion, they surprised us with an upgrade and a beautiful gift. From start to finish, everyone was so lovely and genuinely friendly, which made us feel incredibly welcome. The thoughtful touches and warm atmosphere turned our trip into an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!

Everything we needed

Pros: A great, comfortable and modern hotel in a very central location in Galata. We had the room with the Bosphorus and it was great. Staff were very friendly, the hotel was so peaceful even though the area itself is lively. Good breakfast, but the standout is the big pots of filter coffee which is like nectar of the gods the first thing in the morning. The hotel itself was good value especially for the time of year.

Cons: There’s nothing negative to say - everything we wanted was met and exceeded.

Incredible view and location, perfect stay

Pros: The location is perfect, and the view from the top floor corner room is absolutely stunning. We loved the high bed at window sill level looking directly out at the waterfront view ahead. Hotel manager was very considerate and generous about late check out. I want to come back to stay again next trip here!

Great place to stay in Istanbul

Pros: Large comfortable clean rooms and great location. We were on the top floor and had great views across the river!

I would recommend Bankerhan if you are wanting to stay in the Galata area for a good price.

Pros: Great location at a great price. Rooms clean and serviced daily (granted this should be given but many in Istanbul are not!). Room was spacious and AC worked great. 24/7 reception. Plenty of amenities (towels, shower products, water etc provided).

Cons: Breakfast wasn't great, though it was included in our price we only used it on the first day and opted to eat out the rest of our visit.
