Berk Guest House - Grandma's House

Excellent choice

Pros: The location is excellent, right in the heart of Sultanahmed, but away from the cowds. The sea view from the room was amazing, one of the best things we loved about the Guest House. Breakfast is abundant and freshly made evry morning. Our hosts were so helpful and attentive, they were exceptional!

Pros: Amazing staff, great breakfast, perfect location. Excellent value for money.

Cons: Room didn't feel 100% clean, sink looked a bit dirty and a few stains on the sheets (maybe they need replacing).

Pros: The view from the rooftop and the balcony of my room were wonderful. The staff were exceptionally friendly, always ready to help and offer great advice. The location—right next to the Sultanate Hamam and Hagia Sophia—is perfect for exploring the historical heart of Istanbul (Constantinople). The breakfast was delicious, and the hosts showed genuine care and interest in their guests, making this cozy, homely hotel a truly welcoming place to stay.

Cons: I enjoyed everything! :-)

Local Family Stay

Pros: Great location. Very attentive personel. Own and run by family and they are great.

Cons: Very small bathroom, but this is because they are 100 % authentic building.

Pros: vert good breakfast, nice and amazing location, lovely terrace

Pros: The hotel and its owners are truly wonderful! For my girlfriend’s birthday, they even surprised us with a delicious dinner and cake. Every morning, breakfast is lovingly prepared fresh and is absolutely suitable for vegetarians. The location and value for money are fantastic! Even though we had a small room right next to the reception, we felt very comfortable, partly because the hotel has lovely areas like the rooftop terrace. We felt completely at home and would come back anytime! Leon & Marisa

A perfectly located guest house in Istanbul with super owners.

Pros: The owners are very helpful. They absolutely care for their guests. The location is absolutely perfect. The building has a superb terrace with a sea view and a blick on a substantial part of the city. I would highly recommend this property!

Cons: The room is very small for 3 persons.

Pros: The owners are great, very friendly and helpful people. Fantastic spirit and atmosphere throughout the house. An excellent view from the roof.

Warm and good old fashioned hospitality in a fantastic location!

Pros: Grandma's House is positioned in a fantastic location close to many sights around the Sultanahmet area and within walking distance. All the staff were so warm and hospitable. A shout out to Jawad at night reception who was lovely and so helpful during our stay. Breakfast was an absolute treat and loved the courtyard area.

Cons: The bathroom is very tiny, it's manageable but mentioning for others' awareness. Also we had a room next to the street which it can be very noisy at all hours even middle of the night, best to avoid that room if you're a light sleeper.

Pros: This hidden gem made our trip to Istanbul amazing. The owners are so friendly and welcoming, the breakfast was the best I've had from a hotel and homemade. A huge thank you to the owners for the unforgettable memories 🙏. Also a beautiful rooftop view and comfortable room with far view of ocean❤️.
