Pleasant Stay Thanks to Wonderful Hosts
Pros: The hosts, Nana and Recep, were extremely friendly and welcoming. Nana prepared a very nice breakfast every morning and always offered helpful advice throughout my stay. The place was clean, comfortable, and had a warm, personal atmosphere. The location is very nice, close to the historical centre, but still far from the noisy streets.
Cons: The room was on the first floor facing a street with several restaurants, so it was quite noisy at night. Although the property is listed as a 4‑star hotel, it’s closer to a European 3‑star standard. Basic toiletries such as shampoo and shower gel were not provided. Another important issue is payment: despite what the reservation states, you cannot pay by card — only cash. Since ATMs in Turkey charge a commission, the actual cost ends up being roughly 10% higher. Additionally, the hotel has no visible sign or name on the building, which made it difficult to find without internet access.

Lucky to have stayed here
Pros: Luckily we found this hotel to stay during our trip to the city. The room was extremely clean, room service came every day, and the breakfasts were simply perfect. Recep and Nana were the sweetest people we met during our trip, always kind and ready to help.

The authentic essence of Istanbul.
Pros: Excellent stay—exactly as described. The accommodation matched the listing, the rooftop terrace is amazing, and the location is within easy walking distance of all major sights and amenities. The host was very friendly and responsive—he greeted us on arrival, saw us off at departure, and was always available on WhatsApp for any questions or advice. He even helped us park our car for free. Breakfast was generous and satisfying. We highly recommend this hotel.

Good location, clean and nice room, breakfast on lovely rooftop, amazing customer service.
Pros: Our host Recep was very kind and helpful , and the room was nice and clean. we enjoyed our breakfast on the rooftop and there are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Train station is 5 min walking from the hotel but the city center is also in walking distance. I would highly recommend this hotel!

lovely accommodation in a perfect location with wonderful hosts.
Pros: the location was perfect, very close to many of the tourist sites without being in the midst of a touristy area. it sits on the edge of the touristy restaurants so it’s easy to get to restaurants that are frequented more by locals and are less expensive. the host, Recep, organized other suitable accommodation for us with no problem at all, when we had to change our dates by one night. he helped with transferring luggage and made himself available to assist with anything. Nana took care of breakfast preparation and housekeeping and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed for an easy stay, including lending us an umbrella and a transport card so we didn’t need to purchase these. the kitchen was well-stocked with all the basics (crockery and cutlery) we needed to prepare some simple food in the room so we didn’t have to eat out every meal. last but not least, the views from the terrace of the bosphorous and surrounding city were wonderful!
Cons: The dining seats were small stools so there wasn’t anywhere comfortable to sit besides on the bed. one of us found this less than ideal and the other found the pillow uncomfortable. but these were small issues that wouldn’t impact our decision to return again.

Beautiful stay in Kumkapi
Pros: Beautiful rooms, beautiful terrace. Staff is very nice and welcoming. Rooms were very tidy and clean too. The view from the terrace is lovely, you can see the sea from the top. Great shower!!
Cons: Wifi, despite being exclusive to each room, doesn’t work very well. As a woman, I found it hard to do my makeup in the bathroom due to the very dim lighting.
