I would happily return.

Pros: Old world charm in an area full of restaurants. The in-room Turkish breakfast was simple, but perfect. We loved enjoying our breakfast leisurely each morning. We walked everywhere then took the tram back at night. The proprietor was very nice and helpful. They met my taxi on the nearest street, escorted me to my room and carried up my suitcase.

Cons: There was NOTHING I did not like. But I will warn people that you can not drive up to the hotel. So your taxi must drop you at least a block or two away. I booked my airport taxi and hotel with booking.com and, unbeknownst to me, the taxi called the hotel and they had someone waiting to take my bag and escort me to the hotel! Also it is an historic old building with no elevator. If stairs are an issue for you, do not book here. The staff will take up your bags, but you still have to get yourself up several flights of stairs.

Pros: The hotel was simply wonderful. Everything was clean, towels were changed every day, and the breakfasts were delicious. Tea and coffee were always available. There was hot water and heating. Special thanks to the house manager Nana — she was very kind and sweet. She prepared delicious breakfasts! If we return to Istanbul, we will stay only at this hotel.

Pros: The host was very kind. Rooms were comfortably heated with all the amenities. Location was near historical sites and we can go there by walk.

Pros: We had an excellent stay and truly enjoyed our time here. The apartment was very clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The location is great, making it easy to explore Istanbul and get around the city. A very special mention goes to the owner, Reçep, who was absolutely amazing. He was always kind, attentive, and extremely helpful. When my wife suddenly felt unwell during our stay, Reçep went far beyond what anyone could expect: he personally accompanied us to the clinic and stayed with us to make sure everything was fine. This level of care and humanity is truly rare and unforgettable. Thanks to him, we felt safe, welcomed, and truly cared for. We highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again.

Pros: The location of this hotel is very good...all the main attractions are a few minutes of walk away only...and the tram station is just 4 mins away..the atmosphere around the hotel is very lively with many good restaurants around.. And a big thanks to Mr Recep..he is very helping and very good natured..he guided us very well about all the attractions and connectivity.

Excellent value for money accommodation with most modern comforts. Great location, service & price

Pros: Excellent service, very helpfull. Amazing view from rooftop terrace! Great value for money, lots of restaurants and shops within 50m. Tram within 10 mins walk (up a steep hill though). This is not the posh side of town, but truly local. You can find great value places to eat, not touristy, not overcrowded. Just far enough yet close enough to walk everywhere and use public transport. Had all amenities - fridge, bathroom (EU style toilet + shower in 1 room), bedrooms were spacious. They went the extra mile to have soft quality toilet paper as well, which was really appreciated.

Cons: Nit picking here, but some drying towel racks or coat hangers or a place to dry clothes would have been great.

Pros: We had such a lovely stay at The First Ottoman Suites! The location is perfect — right in the heart of Istanbul, close to everything. The Turkish-style breakfast was so delicious and more than enough for our family. The room was kept clean, with the bedding changed every two days and the trash taken out regularly. Mr. Rejep was incredibly kind and welcoming. He gave us great advice about the best tours and even organized them for us himself. He was always available whenever we needed anything and often checked in to make sure everything was going well. Even after we left Istanbul, he messaged us to see if we arrived home safely — such a thoughtful gesture! We truly appreciated the warm hospitality and would definitely stay here again.

Pros: Everything was perfect! Recep is very kind and helping, he got us everything we needed. Amazing terrace view is a huge bonus.:)
