Sistina Old City Hotel

Wonderful stay, wonderful hotel, great facilities

Pros: The staff were very welcoming and friendly, the reception area and lobby area for the guests was absolutely stunning, the rooms were spotless clean and housekeeping came every day.

Pros: Location which was beside the Grand Bazaar. Large clean and comfortable room. Would highly recommend.

Modern and clean with great staff

Pros: The staff from moment one were incredibly helpful and welcoming, always working to ensure that that you had everything you needed, as well as tips for the city. The hotel itself is modern and well maintained, it’s also away from the main hustle and bustle but close enough for everything to be accessible in the Old Town.

Cons: The room whilst modern was incredibly warm, aircon wasn’t the best. The toilet in our bathroom was located very near to the sink so if you are taller than 170cm you might find sitting down a slight challenge

Love the stay!

Pros: Beautiful hotel right in the centre, next to bazaars and lots of things, like restaurants and cafes around. Room for a couple small, but cozy, love the design! They have in the lobby beautiful parrot, but also please someone consider moving her to bigger cage!

Cons: Do not recommend to book night cruise with show with them.. But this is a separate opinion, because is not hotel company, but cooperation they have (Sultania cruise).

Pros: Very comfy! The value for money is amazing. The facilities are brand new. What we liked the most was the staff and how attentive they were!

Very nice hotel if you get a superior room

Pros: Location was very convenient, you could walk to all major attractions. Also, the metro, tram and boat stops were very near. The superior room was spacious and well furnished, warm and with lots of light. We enjoyed the free coffee and tea in the lobby. The area is a little run down and under renovation, but otherwise full with people and very safe even late in the evening. The hotel has parking places which is quite exceptional in the centre of Istanbul.

Cons: Despite that we have reserved a superior family room, we were given a 'deluxe' room which was small, smelly, had mold under one window. There was one small cupboard with one hanger for 4 persons; the only place to open a suitcase was the bed. The bathroom was so small that a grown-up man could enter in the shower cabin with difficulty. We had to insist to the reception to get the room we had reserved. Initially they said it was occupied but the next morning we were offered to move there. If we didn't have this stressful experience and the first night in a wrong room, I would give a rating of 9 to the hotel.

Pros: Very nice and cozy hotel. The location in Old City is comfortable for walking. There are many cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Train station Eminonü is also nearby, so reaching any location of Istanbul is no problem. Rooms are small, but clean. Special thanks to staff Veysel, Berat and Reşad, who helped immediately with every question.
