Bender Hotel

A great place to start your adventure in Istanbul.

Pros: Homely atmosphere. Friendly and accommodating staff. 5 minute walk to Hagia Sofia, the Blue Mosque and Sultanahmet tram station. Plenty of food outlets just outside your door

Cons: Heater/ air conditioner- difficult to control to maintain a proper room temperature

Pros: Very nice stay. Friendly professional staff, a nicely furnished room, good internet connection, and a decent Turkish breakfast buffet to start the day. The location was excellent as a base for daytime walks and decent nightlife.

Pros: The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to all the main sights, yet in a quiet spot. The staff is nice and helpful.

Cons: The bathroom could use some renovation, but everything was functional.

Pros: Great hotel in Sultanahmet, the room was really big, comfortable and clean. We liked the breakfast (both salty and sweety) and the staff was friendly

Pros: The big advantage of the hotel is its location. It is in the center of the old town and you can walk to the main points. The building is quite old and the soundproofing is not the best (you can hear the neighbors upstairs walking around their room in the middle of the night), but this is not very critical. Separately, the staff should be noted - the service is at the highest level (they respond quickly, fulfill all requests instantly, speak English and are always happy to help, just great). The beds are very comfortable, the bed linen and towels are clean, cleaning is done every day, the breakfasts are hearty and with a wide selection.

Pros: The room was rather large, wooden furniture, big soft bed. Good breakfast buffet, nice staff.

Cons: There was a noise under the windows from the powerful air conditioners.

Very good accommodation

Pros: One of the best-located hotels. Although the area is very touristy, it's everything you need for a first visit. The staff were very welcoming, and the breakfast was good. Cleaning is done daily. We even received a small gift on departure.

A very nice hotel for a good price.

Pros: Great location for the major sights and restaurants! Just by the street, so you do hear some noise in the morning, but it's the specifics of the place. Very big and comfortable room, very nice staff, lots of water bottles offered for free, huge and comfy bed.

Cons: Some small fixes are needed, like the lock and the drain to work better. Not many English speaking channels on tv. Some street noise in the morning. There is no elevator, but it is not a problem in general (the staircase is very wide and easy to climb).

Pros: I really enjoyed my stay at Bender hotel during my trip to Istanbul. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff were extremely polite and attentive. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety, and the location was perfect — quiet yet close to all main attractions. I would definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Istanbul
