Kare Hotel Sultanahmet

A very hospitable staff and managment.

Pros: Staff especially Mr.Eren Manager was very nice and cooperative. He cares about the guests residing in this hotel. Lots of appreciation from us.He is a loyal and dedicated working staff of the hotel.

Compact rooms and simple breakfast, but great service and location.

Pros: The hotel was very good, with kind staff and a clean, tidy environment. While the room was a bit small, it was well-equipped with everything I needed. The breakfast selection was modest, but still satisfying—the staff even prepared an omelet upon request. The location is great; it’s tucked away from the main streets, so the immediate area isn't overly polished, but it is very close to all the main sights, public transport, and the waterfront.

Excellent accommodation, great staff, super hotel!

Pros: Must admit that this property exceeded my expectations, even from the beginning. We arrived a bit late - around 19:00 and with a happy face, we were welcomed by Arda from the front desk. He opened the garage for us in order to park (by the way, Kare Hotel has its own parking spaces, next to the hotel, with a garage door that closes automatically) and helped us with the luggage. I really thank you a lot Arda! The room looked exactly as per the pictures on site - clean, big room and the bed was huge and super comfortable, but the thing that impressed me a lot was next morning when we went to breakfast. Normally it is served between 08:00 and 10:30, but we somewhere around 10:15 and was surprised that food was still in the specific containers and the nice lady even made an omelette for us because we asked her. I do recommend Kare Hotel for a great accommodation!

Cons: The only existing downside is the location

Pros: The room was in a very central location, just a short walk from the main attractions such as Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. We were able to check in earlier than the usual time, which was extremely convenient for us, and on the day of departure, we could safely store our luggage. The room was very nice and comfortable, and the breakfast was very good. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Great stay with nice staff

Pros: Breakfast, WIFI, Room, and aircon was really good. Decor is really nice.

Cons: location is close to mosque and bazaar within 5-10 mins however you path is down a steep hill. its fine for a young person but if you have an elderly person then it can be a bit hard. But thats nothing against the hotel.

Personnel is great, rooms are nice and modern, good location

Pros: I was traveling with old parents, and due to health issues they have some limitations, especially regarding foods. All hotel stuff was extremely supportive, and helped very much to support my parents needs. We had billion issues, and always could find support and help. Without these guys I think I would not be able to handle this trip :) Also rooms itself are nice and modern, we had junior suits and I definitely liked it. Location also great - close to everything, sweet old town streets, couple of small stores nearby. Blue Bottle restaurant in 200 m is very good also. So again HUGE thanks to all hotel personnel, 100% recommended, and if ever back to Istanbul, then only here :)

Pros: - The hotel is located in Sultanahmet, meaning that you have quick access to Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque, and many other objectives. - The staff was really friendly and helpful if needed - The room was clean (you have to request to clean the room, by pressing a button) - The breakfast has good options - You are close to T1 tram, which can take you to the metro M2 then M11 lines, to the airport (aprox 1h30 the whole trip) - There are a lot of restaurants, grocery stores, coffee shops... Everything you need

Cons: - The room is quite small, and you don't have enough space to be honest - Breakfast provided also filtered coffee, but some espresso would be nice, especially for foreigners - The kitchen smells / odors are going to the place where you take breakfast. That's a bit unpleasant...

Nice hotel to explore the city

Pros: The location was very handy, very close to Cemberlitas tram station and also very close to Hagia Sofia, the Blue Mosque and all the places worth visiting in such picturesque area of the city. The breakfast was great with a variety of options: different jams, honey, cheeses, toasts, coffee, tea and sweeties.

Cons: My only complaint is that I booked two taxis in reception to the airport with a fixed price, which I found reasonable given how far away it is from the hotel. I had heard horrible stories about taxis and I was happy to pay a fixed price so I was not going to be through the experience of being scammed by one (which is unpleasant because you are aware of the situation and you feel powerless). The first one was great, the taxi appeared at the agreed time (at night time) and I paid the agreed price in cash and that's it. The second one was during the morning, and after starting the trip he asked through the voice translator how much the hotel had told me the trip would cost. I said 1900 liras and then...here you go... Apparently the hotel did not tell me that there was a road toll of 350 liras, which I had to pay. I explained (by using his phone) that the price was fixed, and again, that I had to pay the toll. I had two choices, either get off the taxi and risk losing my flight or pay the scam, because there is a toll, but but that amount. It is not a nice situation leaving the hotel and the city and being scammed after being told by the hotel that the price is fixed. I paid the fixed price in cash and the \
