The Peninsula Istanbul

Luxurious, special and incredible stay

Pros: 5 stars all across the board! This hotel is absolutely fantastic and the best hotel we stayed in during our stay in Istanbul. We were celebrating a birthday and they had a beautiful peninsula cake and card signed by staff waiting for us. View from our 4th floor room was gorgeous. The whole property is just breath taking, however, that is not what made it so special. It is the people that work there who were just SO WONDERFUL and really make the hotel. Nothing was too big or too difficult for them to organise. A bonus was having access to the hotel car to drive us to somewhere in the 4km region. I would love to mention individual people but everyone was so great that it would be unfair. Take a bow team - you are clearly doing everything right!! What a magical place this hotel is. We cannot wait to return here in the future!

Exceptional!

Pros: Comfort, restaurants of the hotel, cleanliness and professionalism.

Cons: The traffic jam in the street of the hotel, specifically in the afternoon.

Surely we will be back!

Pros: Wonderful hotel in a perfect place - close to everywhere. Big pool, very helpful and friendly staff. Rooms - very comfortable and beautiful. The hotel is perfect in every detail - it was the real pleasure to spend time there. Very clean. Everyone can use the buggy service (in real very comfortable car with the driver) within 4 km distance. Very close to main attractions of Istanbul. Surely we will back if we are back to Istanbul.

Cons: The only thing is that the breakfast should have been included in the price - hotel is really wonderful, worth its price, however breakfast was very expensive - having so many restaurants from the very morning within 2 minutes walking distance we did not have breakfast at the hotel.

Best level of service in Istanbul

Pros: The hotel staff really took care of us in any our request, they are very attentive to details, remembering us among the hundreds of guests:) So people working there, make this hotel special place. The hotel itself is an ancient and beautiful building. We had an amazing room! The location is perfect, where you want an old city or the other more modern parts.

Impeccable

Pros: The best of the best. A beautiful hotel on the Bosphorus, with immaculate service from warm and friendly staff. Their attention to detail was a delight.

Excellent getaway with culture, luxury and gastronomy

Pros: It is a sure bet. The rooms are very well furnished. We were upgraded so had a little bit more space than planned. The service was very attentive and kind. Breakfast was good. The 25 metre indoor pool was superb, and a rarity if you like swimming (there is also an outdoor one!). The Spa was substantial and the gym very adequate (I would add 25 and 30kilo weights as the dumbbells seem to finish at 22kilos). I think it was perfect for a couple wanting to walk, discover and enjoy central Istanbul (without having to rely on taxis/transport) whilst returning to an oasis of peace.

Pros: Everything about this hotel was brilliant. Service is phenomenal.

Fabulous, just absolutely fabulous

Pros: The location is unsurpassed, on the European side but walking to the Asian side of the city. A restbite in a heaving metropolis. The view is amazing overlooking the river and the roof top bar a must for sundowners, cosy and sophisticated and great cocktails. All the staff were wonderful and couldn’t do more for you. special praise to the lovely Bora, the manager of the lobby restaurant, and the lovely lady at the concierge who organised a beautiful box of peninsula chocolates for me at short notice! ( sorry I didn’t get her name!)

Cons: Nothing it was superb as you would expect
