Hotel Troya Balat

Pros: I had a lovely stay at Hotel Turkey during my work visit to Kadir Has University. The staff, especially the women at the front desk, were very kind and helpful, even assisting me with arranging a taxi to the airport. Dinner was amazing, and the breakfast was light, fresh, and well prepared. The hotel has a charming old-style aesthetic that I really enjoyed. I would definitely stay here again.

Highly recommend this place and keen o stay on my next visit to Istanbul!

Pros: Excellent location - easy to use the trams to get to tourist destinations. Breakfast each day was fresh and delicious traditional Turkish style. Staff were friendly and helpful. Also enjoyed some evening meals in the restaurant. Great value for money!

Pros: Wonderful staff, couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast just lovely, had meal in hotel which was just great, lovely food and very nice wine selection. Bierol and Angel you know who you are.

Pros: Spotlessly clean and distinctive rather than a standard hotel, with a 1930s vibe. Conveniently close to the T5 tram station. The bed was comfortable and the on-site restaurant is very good. Fener and Balat cafés and restaurants are within a five-minute walk.

Cons: We didn’t mind that the hotel does not have an elevator, although some guests might find it inconvenient.

Pros: Great location looking out to the Golden Horn, close to cafe's and restaurants plus the colourful houses. Public transport close by. Very vintage, which I loved and why I chose.. Mini fridge and coffee and tea making facilities. Breakfast spread is similar to all Turkish breakfasts. The reception person was very friendly and helpful.

Great romantic stay in Istanbul

Pros: Excellent location with a beautiful view of the Bospherous. Aircon working great especially in the summer heat. Hotel manager was most welcoming and accommodating. All round great experience.

Cons: No elevator and our room was on the 3rd floor.

The decor is stylish and cozy, making it a delightful place to stay. The breakfast selection was fantastic, offering a wide variety of delicious options. The hotel's location is perfect for exploring Istanbul. It's situated in the vibrant Balat neighborhood, with easy access to public transportation. Overall, Hotel Troya Balat is a gem in Istanbul. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and friendly boutique hotel experience.

Very nice renovated old Greek building

Pros: Historical building renovated perfectly. Stairs are a bit steep for elder people and for those who have heavy luggages.

A lovely, historical house in an excellent location

Pros: I really enjoyed my stay at the Troya Balat hOTEL - I felt like I was staying in a large, family house. TheTurkish family who own and work at the hotel were so friendly and the location is excellent - right on Fenner and Balat with lots of artisan coffee cafes! Nearby, is the tram and right opposite are the waters of the Golden Horn. I'm looking forward to returning soon.
