Pros: Host was great, helped us out at very short notice. Location is good, very Boho and breakfasts were good.

Pros: The area is very safe, with a police station nearby, which gave us extra peace of mind.The host is extremely friendly and always willing to help, available 24/7. We really enjoyed our stay and truly appreciated the attention and support.

Pros: We had a wonderful stay! The apartment is beautiful, well-equipped, and located in a pleasant area with easy access to all the main tourist attractions. The owner, Kadir, was very helpful and always attentive to our needs, not forgetting the catering was very good and excellent. I will definitely come back with my family next time. Highly recommended!

Safe, Clean and Great Location

Pros: The property was very clean, the bathroom spacious and the beds comfy. There was a small balcony at the back of the flat which was very nice to cool down in the evenings. Kadir bey showed us the facilities and was always available for a chat. The flat has a washing machine and kitchen aswell as AC in all 3 bedrooms. The Internet was good. The area is an old area of town and is very safe. A lot of nice cafes and restaurants - so many, that we were not able to check them all out. The area has a mix of local and touristy vibes. The prices in the area were very reasonable. You will be able to reach most attractions in 10-15 mins by Taxi or by walking. We felt very welcome and enjoyed our stay.

A stay in a graceful 300-year-old hotel

Pros: We stayed in the apartment on the second floor for three nights — me, my sister, and our parents (both over 60). The building is 300 years old, and we were concerned it might smell damp inside, but that wasn’t the case. Our parents managed the stairs to the second floor without any issues. The hotel is located a 10-15 minute walk from a beautiful waterfront, which we visited every day of our stay in Istanbul. There are several small restaurants with delicious food, pastry shops, grocery stores, and souvenir shops nearby. Upon arrival, the landlord, Kadir, showed us everything we needed to know about the apartment, and we had no further questions for him. We enjoyed relaxing in the apartment between our walks around Istanbul.

Pros: We had a wonderful stay at the charming Balat Butik Hotel in Istanbul. The property is perfectly located in the heart of Balat, with easy access to the area's picturesque lanes and public transport, including buses and trams. Our accommodation on the ground floor was ideal for our group of five adults and a nine-month-old baby—quaint, cozy, and very comfortable. What truly made our stay exceptional was the owner, Kadir. He was incredibly hospitable, helpful, and genuinely kind, going above and beyond to ensure we were well taken care of. We absolutely loved our time here and would book with Kadir again in a heartbeat!

Enjoyed the stay

Pros: The host was very nice and available with all the questions! The place was cozy and convenient, offering seamless access to wide array of transporation options making it ideal to travel.

Cons: The parking spot where we were originally supposed to stay was actually under construction, but to protect our car and make sure it was safe, host moved us to a different, safer parking spot. We really appreciated that!

Pros: Apartment on first floor was nice, but it’s not suitable for families with small kids because of dangerous stairs to basement bedroom. Because that is 300 years old building, stairs to second and third floors is also old and squeaky, every time when somebody go up and downstairs you can hear it very well. Also windows are not soundproof, may get a bit loud at night. Other than that everything was ok, cosy little place and very kind and helpful host!

Pros: Balat, located in the heart of Istanbul's historical peninsula, This boutique hotel is in the center of Balat, decorated with vibrant flowers like a bohemian work of art. The hotel's location is within walking distance of many attractions such as historic churches, synagogues, local cafes and restaurants. Additionally, cake shops selling local delicacies are right next to you. The hotel's apartments are completely renovated and everything is spotlessly clean. At the end of the day, a deep and beautiful sleep awaits you in comfortable beds. Kadir, the owner of the hotel, is extremely helpful and hospitable. He is in constant communication and ready to meet your every need to make your holiday the best. We would like to thank Kadir ❤️ for the kind gestures such as the fruit plate, Turkish coffee, Turkish delight, tea, water and chocolate offered at the entrance. This experience definitely makes you want to come back.

Pros: Были в январе 2026 года это очень красивый, тихий и приятный район, очено улобно если у вас взрослые родители потому что улицы вокруг этой квартиры не сменяются бесконечными подьемамт и спусками. Рядом есть где поесть вплоть до часу ночи, рядом очено хороший ресторан в котором шикарные завтраки, обеды и ужины а так же можео заказть кальян. Хозяин квартиры был постоянно на связи и предоставил нам все, что нам было нужно.

Cons: Разумеется были и некоторые минусы, некоторые больше некоторые меньше. Одна из комнат что была в подвале, не имела дверь, что подходит не для всех, но это не страшно. Большим минусом было ощущение сильной сырости, и запах сырости, но я уверен, что хозяин квартиры, исправит это. Конечно, было бы злорово иметь там больше декораций( в подвале) что бы там было немного приятнее, но опять же, это не мешало нашему отдыху. конечно, должен сказать про темное освещение в гостинной, которая была очено малой, не бвло возможности сесть за стол компанией - но должен сказать, что в самой большой комнате у окна было очено удоьное место, что то вроде полки на которой было подоьие дивана, так там мы вполне могли пить вместе утренний кофе или же разговаривтаь вечером за настольными играми. минусы есть, но тем не менее ощущение удобного расположения, безопасности, удобного рельефа местности , было намного приятнее чем например в районе Беязит.
