Cozy hotel and friendly staff
Pros: A good hotel not far from the historic part of the city. Very friendly and welcoming staff — we’re truly grateful to these wonderful people for their warm hospitality. The building has been renovated, with new plumbing and facilities. The bed is comfortable, and all the appliances work perfectly. Our room had a spacious terrace with a beautiful sea view (they changed a two-room suite to a one-room one with a terrace, which turned out great for us). It takes only a few minutes to walk to the seaside promenade (there’s a pedestrian bridge over the highway nearby, which is very convenient). It’s also very convenient that there are plenty of supermarkets, shops, cafés/restaurants, and bakeries close to the hotel and there’s one of the most affordable and cheeper street markets in the city (in our opinion) just for two street from there.
Cons: It’s worth noting that there’s no elevator in the building, but there is a steep staircase — as in many hotels in this city. The staff help with luggage, and if you have any health issues, you can probably request a lower floor in advance — the people here are kind and accommodating. Our booking was for a two-room family apartment, but we were given a one-room suite with a terrace instead, as the one we reserved was already occupied. The explanation was simple - “the other guests arrived earlier.” Our new room turned out to be perfect for us, since there were just two of us and the terrace was wonderful. But for families with children, something with changes like this may seem less convenient. Just keep this in mind and it’s better to contact the host in advance. We were also a bit concerned about the loud generator that would turn on occasionally (perhaps upstairs or in a nearby building), especially at night. When it did, the air conditioner - which we didn’t even use - would start making some noise as if it were cleaning itself. It was slightly unsettling but not a major inconvenience.

Very good stay
Pros: Room was really good especially for a family of 5 or 6. Moreover, cleanliness was top notch and Mr. Gurkin was really helpful at all times.
Cons: Location wasn’t good enough but still very better compared to European side hotel (Balo Suite Hotel “Horrible stay”)

Great for its cost
Pros: The staff are very kind, they let us in and gave us rooms at 6 am without extra pay(without any notice from us). When we had check-out they let us stay until 9 pm again for free. Staff is really kind. Good hotel for this amount of money. Rooms are small, but you don’t need much there.
Cons: Wherever you wanna go-you need to climb a mountain, or take public transport if you wanna avoid cardio. But getting everywhere is not taking long.

Pros: The room was very spacious and absolutley clean. Looked almost brand new. We booked a family room and the extra bed was in a separate room within the apartment. there was a sofa a dining table a kitchen counter and a fridge. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. we had a bad experience in Taksim square and they went out of their way to help us. The location was walking distance from some of the historical sites like the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Topkapi palace and the Grand bazaar. The metro station is a 10 minute walk so it was very easy to get about to all of the other places of interest. We chose the old city in view of its proximity to the historical sites.

I think this hotel is a great value and wonderful for tourists. Will definitely be coming here again.
Pros: The property is very close to a bus station and the sea, making it super easy to walk to tourist attractions. Inside the hotel it was pretty clean.
Cons: It can be a little noisy because it’s near a train station and there is a lot of trash around the building but it’s like that everywhere in big cities. The shower head pressure was a bit low that what I was used to but not a big deal. My husband also noticed that the AC filters needed to be replaced.
