Modern Sultan Hotel

If you want a simple an elegant hotel near the Hagia Sophia, it is a great option!

Pros: Perfect staff. Very friendly and helpful. Great selection of simple do it yourself breakfast items. The room was very neat and tidy and the bed was one of the most luxurious and softest I have ever experienced! Amazing location for the price. And only a 3 minute walk from the Hagia Sophia, right in the heart of the old city! Would definitely come again!

Cons: My room was on one of the top floors so I had to walk a few flights of stairs whenever I came back to the hotel, as there is no elevator. Also there is a student hostel and bar right beside the hotel, so it tended to be a bit noisy late at night. But as I remember after 11pm (or so) it all quieted down.

Pros: Had a great stay at Modern Sultan Hotel, excellent location, clean and comfortable room, and a warm, pleasant atmosphere throughout our stay. Special thanks to Idris and Laila for their very welcoming hospitality; they were incredibly kind, helpful, and made us feel truly at home. Highly recommended and would happily stay here again.

Fantastic location and staff in central Istanbul.

Pros: Excellent location, close to all historic sites and transport. Fantastic staff who make you feel at home. Very good breakfast, and kitchen facilities are available to use during the day.

Cons: Just a minor point, it would be good to have a small clothes rack in the single room as there is no wardrobe.

Pros: Nice view, nice room, good beds, nice staff very helpful , they helped us with parking

Cons: The toilet water was broken and the doublebed duvet was too small for that bed but all these can be fixed I recommend this hotel

Pros: Highly professional staffs. Absolute homely vibe at the hotel. Special mention to Mr.Idris for his hospitality and treatment. The guy is very calm, Humble, and down to earth.

Cons: To be honest, there is nothing to mention

Second unforgettably pleasant stay

Pros: It is my second stay here and this time I had a much better bigger room with a huge bed at a slightly more expensive cost. Still great value. Great location near most of the really important sightseeing sites in downtown Istambul. Very good breakfast with lots of fried vegetables and several kinds of cheese. Extraordinary reception staff members.

Cons: Nothing.

Small and cozy place, nice breakfast, perfect location closest to all the major sights

Pros: View of the Hagia Sophia from my room, very friendly and helpful staff, breakfast on the cozy front terrace

Pros: the stuff was lovely, helpful and kind. I had issues with public transport due to national holiday on 1st of May and they gladly helped me with arranging alternatives, served tea and called taxi. The room had great view and bed was really comfy. Location was perfect, close to main attractions.

Cons: the breakfast could be more diverse but it was fine for me especially for the price

Great view of Hajia Sophia

Pros: Super good location! Walking distance to everywhere you’d like to go in old Europe part! The view of Hajia Sophia from our room is super!

Cons: Nothing, all good!

As expected and would stay again if I visited.

Pros: I liked the location as it was an easy walking distance from some of the major sights. The hotel staff were fantastic and made the stay enjoyable.

Cons: Noise during a few nights when there was work going on nearby late at night. The sofa bed was a little uncomfortable to sleep in.
