Pros: The apartment was perfect, located close to shops, the center, quickly accessible by metro, bus to explore the surroundings! Everything is provided for comfort in the apartment.

Beautiful apartment, convenient location, easy communication with the owner

Pros: The apartment is exactly as it`s shown in the photos and reviews. Nice, cosy and clean apartment, comfortable bed, cooking area, big fridge, washing machine and spacious terrace. The location is very convenient - it`s close to Istiklal street and Taksim square, Pera Museum, Galata Tower, Galataport, and it takes only 7 minutes to the T1 tram stop, which takes you to the main attractions of the city such as Fatih district, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and others. I was in Istanbul for the seminar and I returned late sometimes - it was completely safe, which was very important for me. There are some bars nearby, but the sounds did not disturb my sleep at all, though I`m fairly sensitive to the sounds. Wi-Fi works perfectly. Communication with the owner of the apartment was very easy and supportive. I was very glad that I chose this wonderful place for my stay in Istanbul and I would definitely recommend it. Cons: Everything went very smoothly, I liked my stay here a lot. There was a little smell in the bathroom (as I understood that`s a peculiarity of the city and it`s canalization system), but I used just to close the door for the sleep-time, so it was ok. And it also could be important for somebody that there`s a stair to the upper floor, no lift (which is also habitual for Istambul, as I understood). For me, it was not a problem.

A wonderfully relaxing stay in a very comfortable and well located house

Pros: Location, ambiance, great communication with owner

Cons: Disliked nothing. Suggestions - maybe I missed a warning of the 40-odd spiral steps in the description? No TV as listed. Kitchen needs more plug sockets for kettle/hotplates/coffee machine/grill - risk of a guest using a multi socket adapter and overloading the one socket

Very good value for money

Pros: I strongly recommend this property for a short-term stay. The location is just perfect. It is central enough without being noisy. It is also close to all kinds of transportation systems (ferry, T1 and metro). The area is safe and really nice. The host was very helpful and nice as well, everything went smoothly. The apartment was clean and there were no issues. I would recommend it for two, max three people. The ground floor is spacious enough for two people. The bed felt comfortable, sheets were clean, room was warm and bathroom was clean. The upper floor was lovely, thanks to the terrace overlooking Istiklal street and Galata Tower. The kitchen worked well enough for simple everyday stuff. I’m not sure but I guess the sofa could serve as a bed also.

Cons: I could find only two downsides. There are three steep and narrow flights of stairs to get to the apartment (no elevator). It wasn’t that much of a problem for us and I think that’s pretty standard in Istanbul, but it could represent a major problem if you have mobility issues or are traveling with small kids or a lot of luggage. On a second note, there is a strong unpleasant smell in the bathroom, especially if you happen to have used the faucet on the upper floor. Fortunately, there is a vent and a window you can open. However, I don’t think this is an issue of this property in particular, as I’ve encountered the same problem elsewhere in the past and I’ve also heard that Istanbul has this kind of issue. Tip: if you have long hair, bring a hairdryer
