Pros: Many thanks to the staff! The people at the reception were friendly and sociable. The room was small, but it wasn’t cramped for two people. It was clean, as it was cleaned every day. The towels were also changed daily. The toilet handle was broken, but it didn’t really bother us. The soundproofing in the hotel is very good — we could hear our neighbor’s TV :). The breakfasts were also quite good; we didn’t leave hungry. There were cucumbers, tomatoes, coffee, tea, bread, rolls, eggs, etc. What we especially liked was the value for money. I think staying at this hotel for a few nights would be very comfortable. It’s about a 10–15 minute walk to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and Topkapi Palace.

Very good, would stay again

Pros: Staff were incredibly friendly, couldn’t do enough for you. Offered tea and coffee regularly as well as advice on places to visit. Very pleasant stay made to feel very welcome by the staff especially as I was travelling alone. Location was very good, a couple minute walk to the Sultanahmet square.

Pros: Great location - 5 min walk to Blue mosque. Terrace - perfect view! The room was always clean, the breakfast was not very diverse, but still a good one - you can additionally ask for omelette or fried eggs.

Comfy, quaint, perfect location with a nice breakfast and friendly staff!

Pros: Friendly staff, easy check in and check out, room was clean and bed was comfortable. The breakfast was yummy with homemade salads that changed every day.

Cons: Missing hair conditioner and wifi could have been stronger.

Great location to explore Istanbul, good Turkish breakfast

Pros: - Location is great -- very close to the great Mosques. Room was pretty small by US standards, but well furnished and clean. - The terrace has a decent view of top of the Blue Mosque. - The room was pretty well soundproofed -- the area is quite busy with traffic day and night, but not much got through the windows. - Breakfast is the Turkish style (lots of vegetables, eggs, some meat) and quite good. - The owner, Mehmet, is a nice guy and very helpful.

Cons: Be aware that Istanbul is a hilly town and Coliseum Hotel is at the bottom of a hill.
