My Dora Hotel

Great little hotel, fantastic staff, in a really vibrant neighbourhood, near to the ferry terminal.

Pros: Great location, spacious triple room and extremely helpful staff. Very good breakfast - great it’s included for the price.

Cons: Our air conditioning unit was a little noisy.

Excellent location and comfortable stay at Hotel My Dora

Pros: Breakfast was simple with several options including hot and cold foods, bread, salad, cheese and tea and coffee.

Cons: Alternative plant based milk would be great to have with tea and coffee, and a variety of fresh fruit like bananas and grapes would also be a good addition

Pros: Quiet and clean room, good AC. (I stay in Kadiköy on regular and most of the hotels in the area have thin walls so this was pleasant surprise.) Also there’s nice rooftop terrace with view.

Pros: Location is great, delicious breakfast with many options, very friendly and helpful staff. Very nice and helpfull cleaning ladies, I really appreciate their work as the hotel is super clean.

Pros: Very helpful staff, good location close to the all public transport (subway especialy to and from airport Sabiha Gokcen, ports to the European side of city, etc.). Close to shops, markets and restaurants.

Cons: Unstabile wifi necessary to log on more often.

Gold

Pros: Hotel well located, in the cite center, everything around at 5 minutes by foot Clean, easy access from the Sabiha airport by tram.

Pros: The hotel is very clean and definitely worth the price. It looks just like the photos, and the staff is exceptionally helpful and kind. Located near the port and the local market, the hotel is in Kadiköy—a fantastic area with excellent connections to other parts of the city. This family-friendly neighborhood offers a wide range of dining options, plus nearby kiosks and markets where you can find almost everything, so there’s little need to visit the Grand Bazaar. Prices for food and other items are generally more affordable here compared to other areas.

Cons: Since Kadiköy is primarily frequented by locals, English isn’t widely spoken. The rooms and beds are a bit on the smaller side.

An excellent small hotel

Pros: I really cannot fault My Dora as it was excellent in every way. It is a boutique-designed hotel on four floors, with a fantastic roof terrace with views out across the Bosphorus. I had a lovely spacious room with a very comfortable bed and a nice bathroom with rainfall shower head. The breakfast is very good and you can choose between a traditional Turkish salad and cheese breakfast, or pastries and bread. The tea and coffee is fresh. The staff are very helpful and welcoming.

Cons: There was nothing that I did not like about the hotel. It is in a good, safe area with lots of restaurants.

My second visit and will now always be my go to hotel for Istanbul

Pros: Great location, minutes from bus station for airport buses and ferry port for easy access to all the touristic areas. Very clean, comfortable beds, helpful staff. Check out the walking tour around the hotel to see some great street art

Pros: I had the most pleasant stay at this facility! The staff were very kind and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the atmosphere of the hotel itself was quite minimal and inviting. Location was near the heart of Kadicöy and the proximity to the pier was convenient if you plan to take the ferry boats. I stayed here for two nights as a solo traveler and I felt safe and relaxed.
