Good value for money and location

Pros: The room was neat and clean, well maintained with hot water. Highly recommended

Excellent value and a great location.

Pros: Great location close to Taksim Square,a major transport hub, but in a side street so it was quiet at night. Nelly was very hospitable serving us tea and a fresh slice of cake upon arrival.

Cons: Our room(s) were quite small so there was no room for a chair to sit on. But this is a minor point as we had comfy beds that could serve that purpouse.

Pros: Nelly is a great host. It is like a family environment there. She is very helpful with everything. The location is very close to the Istiklal street like 10 min walk. Definitely recommend.

Great stay in Central Istanbul

Pros: We had an absolutely lovely stay at Nelly's guesthouse. It's located centrally near Taksim square and close to some bus stops and a market, yet in a quiet street. The room was perfect and also the common facilities were well kept and spacious. Nelly is a lovely host and it was nice to meet her and her family, although we didn't spend much time in the guesthouse.

Cons: Nothing in particular.

Pros: Everything was perfect. We stayed for 7 nights, and I could've stayed more. I really liked the authenticity of the neighbourhood. Nelly and her family are very hospitable and polite. I'll definitely stay here if I happen to visit again.

Nelly the star

Pros: Nelly was wonderful, the apartments were well priced and the beds were comfortable

Cons: Some fittings were a bit tired. Location wise, you have to decide where in Istanbul you want to stay. This is in the new town, up a steep hill. So, the plus is you are in a more normal Istanbul environment (lower cafe prices), but the walk is challenging and the buses need some careful planning.

Great stay at Nelly guesthouse

Pros: Nelly is fabulous, area close to the shopping strip

Cons: Some fittings need repair, make sure you want to stay here rather than the tourist area in the city

Great cozy place !

Pros: We had the private room and it was great ! The microwave and fridge were pretty useful and the beds were comfy. The view at the rooftop is nice and there’s a few cute cats. Nelly was very kind and flexible. We couldn’t have a better host !

Cons: There’s a lot of stairs, but to be expected in Istanbul ! Also the door is a bit tricky, but you’ll get the hang of it.

Warm and beautiful stay.

Pros: Nelly is the perfect host. Her place is super clean, very well maintained and decorated. Good quality. Super well equipped with everything you need. The bathroom and kitchen felt private. Her staff is very accommodative and present Nelly is there to help you 24/7. She is the kindest , warmest person we've met. We spent an evening watching the sunset from her terrace , had a delicious dinner she cooked for us , sharing our memories! Very well located, few minutes from everywhere you wanna be. Public transport options are 5 mins away. We would definitely come back to stay with her again.

Cons: Depends on the floor you stay. The private rooms are on the 4th floor. We didn't mind it one bit. They help you with the bags!
