Wonder Wood Hotel

Wonderful stay in a quirky hotel, would definitely recommend.

Pros: Great location, close to a number of restaurants and easy with public transport. The roof terrace was amazing for listening to the call to prayer which rings all around the city.

Cons: Fine for us but no lift if you are not steady on your feet.

Pros: The Hotel is cute and we really felt at home. The staff were all super kind and helpful, they took very good care of us from the great breakfast to organizing an airport transfer. Location is very good in close proximity to the main sites and not to far from public transport connections.

If I will come to Istanbul again next time, I will continue to stay in this hotel

Pros: The boss is very nice. We have communicated with him a lot. He is a very enthusiastic and kind person.

Pros: Nice with wood, well situated in Sultanahmet. Excellent value for money

Pros: The staff went out of their way to help me (thanks Abdul for loaning me your istanbulkart). The rooms were smaller than I expected but no problem for a solo traveller. Great location.

Cons: Got quite cold in the night.

A nice and budget place to crash.

Pros: It was a nice and cozy place. The best thing was unlimited water, tea and coffee availability at the reception area. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

Cons: Since it's a wooden hotel, you'd hear the squeaky sound from every step taken in the room above you. You get a prepared breakfast plate in a limited quantity so you don't have a choice for refills or if you could swap any item with another, at most you have choice of eggs between omelette or fry eggs. The bathrooms were literally tiny. The way to Sultanahmet square is very steep.

Pros: Location is prefect , very cute small hotel , very helpful and nice staff. They upgraded our room for the bigger one .

Cons: A bit cold at night .

Little gem

Pros: Felt safe for solo women. Very good value and perfect location. Very near Blue Mosque square but incredibly quiet apart from call to mosque in morning. Slept through it after first morning. Fabulous little Rabbit Hole café for breakfast at corner. Room small for one.Very small for two but very clean.

Cons: Nothing except teabags and milk not replenished every day. Would have loved a bedside lamp for reading.

Historical downtown location, with friendly staff, ideal for those who want a feeling of old town.

Pros: Located in the historical downtown, on the turistical peninsula of formal Constantinople, now called Fatih, closed to allmost all historic sites by walk, in a quaiet street, next to other streets with restaurants, bars, sweet shops, cafes. Friendly staff, coffe and tea all day at hall.

Cons: Was better than expected, for the money we paid.

Trip to Istanbul.

Pros: The staff was polite and willing to help with everything we asked for. The room and the whole builiding was clean. The hotel is located very close to the main attractions and you can easily walk there. There is also a tram station nearby. The area is safe and quiet at night. Definitely a good choice.
