Side Hotel - good location

Pros: The location - round the corner from Sultanahmet Square. The shower - powerful. The front of house staff - Couldn’t do enough for you. The room - although basic, was fine for sleeping in.

Cons: The pillows were very soft, and only one per person. I needed both but still wasn’t high enough. I could’ve asked for different ones, I’m sure they would’ve given me some. The blanket and cover - very thin. The breakfast - basic continental, but not much in the way of vegetarians - no fruit or pastry selections.

Pros: The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They were always happy to help. The breakfast was basic but it has everything you need to start your day. There were no lifts but the staff helped us to carry our luggage upstairs.

Exceeded expectations

Pros: A real gem of a centrally located hotel. Spotlessly clean and excellent decor. Staff were very helpful, lovely bathroom. 24 hr reception for advice.

Cons: room a bit small for suitcases and clothing, but I accept this was a budget hotel.
