Nice stay in Istanbul

Pros: Good location, very friendly and helpful manager Kadir, comfortable bed. The apartment was equipped as in the description. The owner and the manager were always in touch.

Cons: None

Location couldn’t be bettered.

Pros: Excellent location within an easy 10 minute walk of most of the main tourist sites but also quiet. Very clean with good shower and comfortable beds. Lots of restaurants and small supermarkets nearby. Great communication from the owner. The young man who met us at the property was very helpful.

Cons: The following should not be seen as negative, it is for information. We expected a two bedroom apartment which, for us, indicated bedrooms and a sitting/dining room plus kitchen area. The door opens straight into the double bedroom area which leads into the single one (no door between but separated by a wall long enough to give privacy to each bed. This area has a single bed, small dining table with 4 chairs and kitchen area (sink, cupboards, microwave, kettle). The shower room leads off this. When you are sitting in you are either on the dining chairs, which to be fair are padded, or your bed. We had expected a seating area with a sofa and two bedrooms with doors. It didn’t spoil our stay but it was a surprise when we first entered the apartment. It may be that we did not fully read the description or that this is typical of self-catering accommodation in Istanbul. I believe the one bedroom apartments have a sofa where the single bed is. I would still recommend here.

Amazing location and Balcony

Pros: Everything about our stay in Duru Suites was absolutely amazing. The apartment is located in a great area surrounded by shops and restaurants. Most of the old city highlights are just a short walk away, which was extremely convinient. The hosts were very helpful! We arrived at 23:45 and there was a person to accommodate us and check us in. They were also helpful with tips and bookings in the city. The balcony and the view of the Bosporus are the cherry on the cake!

Cons: The only negative thing about the apartment was that the shower holder was borken and you'd need to hold the shower head while showering. Everything else was great.

Great location, great views.

Pros: Clean, well equipped studio in great location. Balcony with lovely views over the Bosphorus. Despite being so close to the historic centre, the location was quiet. The room was top floor but the stairs weren't a problem for us. There is one main room with a big bed, small table/chairs, wardrobe, TV. There is a small kitchenette area off this room with fridge, microwave, kettle, kitchenware. The shower room was clean with a big shower. We were earlier arriving than planned so had to call the owner but his employee arrived quite quickly so we didn't wait long. He was friendly, spoke excellent English and gave us lots of local information. The owener had been very pro-active in sending information before our arrival.

Cons: Maybe update the cushions on the balcony sofa?

Great accommodation with an amazing host.

Pros: It is a nice accommodation in the heart of the old area of the city. The host is just amazing and made our arrival and departure an easy and enjoyable experience.

Cons: It was very noisy at night. This might be an issue for a sensitive steeper.

Pros: The location was fabulous, the response from the manager and staff and quick and friendly and professional.

Good value apartment very handily located for the heart of Sultanahmet

Pros: It's a little hard to find at first but it's very well located for the heart of the Old Town (Sultanahmet) - short walk to the square with the Blue Mosque on one side and Hagia Sophia on the other. The apartment had all the facilities you need and I thought it was good value for money

Cons: Don't bother going for the balcony - it was on the ground floor, very narrow, and looked out over a weed-strewn building site
