Beautiful studios in a historical building

Pros: Really nice interiors in a historical building with all the amenities (shops, restaurants, metro and bus stations within a few meters). Water is very hot and the kitchen was equipped with everything you may need for a longer stay! Everything was very clean and bed was comfortable.

Cons: Windows have a blackout film on them - great for privacy and sleep, less optimal for natural light.

Pros: Beyond all expectations, extremely nice hosts that makes you feel welcome from beginning to end. Very happy I stayed there.

This stay will make you feel like a local!

Pros: This apartment was perfect for a few reasons: 1) The location was superb! One bus ride to Taksim (thus far away from the insane crowds but still close to the touristic sights), close to subway station. 2) The neighbourhood was the pure reflection of Istanbul we have loved with its everything. It had all type of stores - local stores as well as mini Mall and all the mainstream restaurants/fast-food chains. You could get anything you want just walking around there. 3) The apartment had the necessary amenities and was comfortable, and host was very understanding towards all situations and guests. As guests who have been to Istanbul several times, this one really stood out. We felt like a local.

Pros: Spacious, clean, excellent location. On top of it we got complimentary hot coffee every morning.

Cons: No clear signboard of the hotel upfront

A homey experience in a local neighbourhood

Pros: The apartment's comfort is better than the pictures...very spacious with modern facilities almost a home away from home. A well equipped kitchen (includes coffee maker, microwave, waffle iron!) with utensils, plates/bowls, mugs, pots etc. The rain shower was great with lots of hot water. The bedroom was the best...firm bed and thick comforter with power plugs next to the bed. The balcony invites some in-the-sun lazing, although it overlooks the ground floor restaurant. Location-wise, it's located on a quiet street. There are plenty of good food options down the street including bakeries, fruit stalls, an ice cream parlor and local eateries. The shopping district (Rumeli St) is abt 10mins stroll through the neighbourhood. No ironing board nor housekeeping provided - these come at extra $.

Cons: Not a complaint, but just note Monev is family-managed, friendly folks who don't speak much English. Pillows are a bit too soft for my taste but didn't prevent a good sleep. Kitchen tap only has cold water, so washing on a cold day can be a challenge. But they provide enough washing soap to keep dirty dishes away.

A very good place in a lively well-connected area

Pros: It was a very comfortable stay. The room was very well-equipped - it had a small kitchen with a fridge, a kettle, a coffee machine and a little stove, there was a tv and a couple of closets to put the clothes in. There was a hairdryer in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of power sockets to charge the devices. The room had a very nice design as well. The hotel is in a very lively local area with many shops, a couple of minutes walk to the Osmanbey metro station. From there it’s very easy to get to Taksim and Istiklal street (just one metro stop). There was also a little balcony overlooking the street which was very pretty. The owners were very helpful and available whenever we needed them.

Cons: It wasn’t very easy to find the place at first, the entrance is inside a restaurant. It would be good to have a kitchen towel to wipe the dishes. It would also be good to have a small stash of toilet paper in the toilet. Sometimes there was some noise from the street.

Pros: Really nice, clean and spacious place. The staff was really welcoming. The apartment has everything you need.
