Root Hotel Karaköy Bosphorus

We had a wonderful stay, everything was amazing! Highly recommended!

A stylish, well-located hotel with beautiful views and a great atmosphere — overall, a very pleasant stay.

Pros: We truly enjoyed our stay at Root Karaköy. The suite was spacious, comfortable, and had a beautiful view. The room was quite clean, the breakfast was good with a nice selection, and the terrace is a real highlight with lovely city views. The location is excellent — perfect for exploring Karaköy, Galata, and Istiklal on foot. The overall atmosphere felt stylish and vibrant.

Cons: Due to the location, the early morning call to prayer can be heard around 6 a.m., although we quickly got used to it. We also found it unusual that drinking water was limited and additional bottles were chargeable — complimentary water is generally expected in hotels. Some small bathroom amenities were not replenished, and the iron provided had minor issues.

Pros: My room was fantastic. So was the view. And the hotel personnel was friendly and service minded. Wifi worked. Netflix streaming too. Room cleaning was generally well done. The location of the hotel is superb.

Cons: The water drain in the shower was blocked - evwn after asking the cleaning staff to clean it and unblock it, it stayed block - for me to wnd up having a flood situation after 1-2 minutes of shower every time. The gym area was in the spa where there is sauna etc - in the cellar - i wouldnt want to workout there. Coffee machine was not functioning well - but am traveling wkth my own kettle and good instant coffee for those situations not to impact my mood too much - really if there is already a coffee machine please make sute things work proberly.

Excellent stay in the heart of Istanbul.

Pros: Excellent location: nice walk or short ride directly to Sultanahmet or Eminonu (Egyptian Bazar). Parallel street is full of cafes and restaurants, everything is so delicious! Fancy reception area with a lot of cozy corners. I loved beautiful photo albums. Hammam is in the hotel, I had anice treatment with a therapist upon arrival to recover from a long flight. Breakfast restaurants' view is breathtaking, and breakfast variety is very sufficient. Staff is friendly and helpful. Despite the fact that the hotel is located on a busy street, the night rest was qualitative, I don't know how this is possible. Fresh and quiet. The bathroom in the room isn't too big but clean and well-functioning.

Cons: I didn't enjoy using a restroom on the restaurant floor, though. Looks like it's not been paid enough attention. Which is critical when the two adults are sharing one room.

Good value for our money, great attention from Meriam.

Pros: Breakfast was ok, nothing to highlight. Just a recommendation, trying add more fruit, because there were only apples.
