Ares Hotel

Pros: Exceptional location & very nice stuff specially Mr josef thanks for everybody in this hotel

Pros: We came to Istanbul to celebrate New Year's 2026. We booked a transfer through the hotel. A hotel employee met us at the car and helped us carry our luggage. The hotel is ideally located. The Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and the Basilica Cistern are all within walking distance. There's a restaurant on the ground floor. We tried almost every dish, and everything was delicious. The staff was very friendly and always helpful.

Fantastic location, fabulous staff.would highly recommend. it even though the accommodation is basic.

Pros: Location, location, location and the friendliness of the staff. The hotel is minutes away from Aya Sophia, The Blue Mosque, the Basilica Cisterns, Topkapi Palace and the Trams! The roof terrace/restaurant was excellent with fabulous views of much of the Sultanate. As two ladies of a certain age we very appreciate the care and attention they gave to us. Many thanks Ali for sorting our taxi pick and many thanks to Joseph for helping us with the luggage.

Cons: Basic rooms but adequate.

An ideal tourist hotel

Pros: Location, Location and Location. 30 metres up a traffic free side street (no noise) with lots of quiet little restaurant's. Not only has it got most of the major tourist sites off the square just 30 metres away, but it also has a tram stop too, from which a lot of other sites are directly accessible, including the ferry port, ferries being a brilliant way of getting around. Public transport is incredibly cheap and easy to use with Google maps. Also the front door is manned 24/7 by lovely helpful people who spoke perfect English and who, I guess, could resolve most things and who I didn't hesitate to leave my bags with on the last day.. Little things like this is what I look for. View from the roof. As to the rooms and breakfast, both what I would expect from what I term a tourist hotel. I was very pleased with everything. A nice quiet place to sleep and breakfast in the heart of where I wanted to be.

Cons: TV didn't work, but that may be a previous occupant messing with the channels. I wasn't bothered so I didn't mention it, or else I suspect it would have been fixed.

great little hotel in the heart of old Istanbul

Pros: fantastic location and the staff were excellent. The breakfast was very nice and the transportation to the airport was very reasonable and efficient.

Pros: Excellent location, very helpful and kind staff, great communication before the arrival. They helped us to organize taxi from the airport. Everything was fine and without any problems.

Felt like home

Pros: Loved it so much here. Josef aĝabey and Eyup aĝabey made me feel at home. Excellent location, great views, friendly staff!

Hotel in an absolutely strategic location: if you want to visit Istanbul it is perfect!

Pros: The hotel is in an absolutely strategic location: if you want to visit Istanbul, it's the perfect place to stay. Yes, you can visit most places on foot; practically everything is nearby! It's a great value. The staff is extremely kind and helpful. I highly recommend it, I really enjoyed it.

Pros: Ali, Mr Ayub and Joseph were all extremely helpful and friendly. I would stay her again because of them. Amazing people. Location is absolutely perfect, close to all attractions.
