Lal Hotel Bursa

Pros: It's not a hotel that will satisfy everyone, but if you like old, cheap hotels, I highly recommend it. The location is also great.

Pros: Great location! Easy to find and close to attractions. They accommodated our late check-in with no problems.

Cons: There was no designated parking for the hotel and the attendant at the desk did not speak any English at all, so we had trouble explaining our situation to him.

Good for a short stay

Pros: It was comfortable and the location was very good.

Cons: No troubles, we only stayed for one night so location was key and that worked well for us.

Cons: Breakfasts were plated up and covered in clingfilm, meaning they weren't great. Plenty of tea and coffee though

Easy to find, with traditional comfort.

Pros: The building is a traditional Ottoman style house with some more recent renovation, consistent with the style, having hardwood floors, doors and ceilings. Guests stay in the larger building which faces the car park at the rear of the premises, while the smaller one with reception desk and breakfast area has street access a couple of minutes' walk from the Grand Mosque. While staff don't have a lot of English, they're all courteous as guests come and go. Breakfast is only basic, but includes fresh bread daily, and there's a good supply of tea to go with it, which I appreciated.

Cons: Furniture is functional but a little worn. Wi-fi works in (or close to) the smaller building only.
