Pros: The host is very friendly and helpful. He provided us with useful suggestions we need.
Cons: The sound proof is not so good. Sometimes you can hear the other guests talking in the corridor.

Nice place to stay while in Istanbul
Pros: It's a small, basic hotel with good rooms. It's well located, from where its easy to get to places of interest either walking or via public transportation. Very kind and helpful personnel. We were able to leave our suitecases at the hotel while visiting another city for 4 days. They organized our transfer to the airport at a reasonable price. There is no breakfast, but there are plenty of places to eat near the hotel.
Cons: The bathrooms lack basic elements, such as hangers for the towels and a place where to put the toothbrushes etc. Easy to solve by the hotel administration.

Cons: The area around the hotel doesn't seem safe but don't be scared, that's just the first impression. The pressure is really low in the bathroom when it comes to hot water

Amazing stay at Old City Istanbul
Pros: The receptionist Aamir Khan was amazing. He helped us move our luggage to our rooms. He even presented complimentary fresh fruits to us. Rooms were comfortable. We had a very good stay there. This small hotel is really value for money.
Cons: The hotel is located in a very congested area.

Nice budget stay, near tram station, friendly staff
Pros: The room was as the photos. The price was great for the room. The guys at the reception were very helpful and nice. They let us check in earlier than the actual time without us notifying them earlier which was very nice and they also gave us coffee while waiting. They also left us 4 bottles of water in the room, flip flops, a kettle and some coffee and tea. The room was spacious. It had a TV, mini fridge, soap, kettle. The hotel was near the tram station kumkapi, just 2-5 minutes walking. There's also an atm nearby, restaurants and shops to buy fruit.
Cons: We stayed for 3 nights and they cleaned our room which is nice, but the cleaning crew moved literally everything we had in the room. From flip flops to our suitcases, to our stuff like keys, cards, makeup etc on the tables. They moved our pyjamas and put them inside bags we had left, they threw a plastic bag I brought that it was to put my sandals in, they used one of my shirts to cover the messy clothes we left. I also found a plastic glove in my bag which was probably used to move our stuff around. We left the room messy, because we didn't know cleaning will be done in such short stay but it was unesesary to touch everything we had in the room, and not just move them to help them clean. I attached a photo of the glove. The area around was a bit sketchy if you don't come from the tram kumkapi and decide to just walk.
