Homely apartment in the heart of Old Town Istanbul

Pros: Very cosy self-contained apartment the used to be the home of the owners - and Nesrin (owner) was charming and very helpful. Incredible location just 100m from the Blue Mosque (visible from the roof terrace) and Old Town Istanbul. Surrounded by great cafes and restaurants, including the pizza parlour on the ground floor, with Farhat the super-friendly manager. The roof terrace is accessible and has wonderful views of Marmara. Overall I highly recommend!

Cons: The only real downside is the lack of soundproofing - one bedroom has no proper closure from the lounge and the walls within the apartment seem very thin - but it wasn't a major problem and given it was summer we had fans on which cancelled the noise. Also worth noting the terrace is not part of the apartment - it is a couple of levels above, but tenants have fulltime access.

Beautiful home in a beautiful location!

Pros: Such a central location to everything and the host is amazing with welcoming us and helping us throughout our stay! She helped organise a very very reasonable transfer from IST airport for 1500 TL. Once arrived the place was clean and had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. All the little touches from her were appreciated and she was prompt with any queries we had. When we left she helped store our luggage whilst we continued exploring. Would come here in a heartbeat again!

Great stay in Istanbul

Pros: The apartment is in a great location, very well equipped, spacious. The owner of the apartment, Nesrin, was fantastic and took great care to make our stay wonderful. Always ready to provide support and information. We felt very pampered. There is a good restaurant downstairs - always delicious food, wide selection, clean rooms, wonderful owner and nice staff. Nice to have a meal and just sit down after a busy day in Istanbul.

Pros: Really great location to see and feel Istanbul. Spacious, clean and well equipped apartment. Very friendly area. Good restaurant below with very helpful and attentive owner who helped us on numerous occasions with everything. However, our apartment host Nesrin could not have done any more and has to be the best host in the entire world - seriously! She should be in charge of the world’s top Hotel and could rewrite Conrad Hilton’s book ‘Be our Guest’ !

It was a perfect stay, directly at the Sultanameth square. Absolutely recommendable!

Pros: We met in front of the apartment, and the host was amiable and helpful.

Cons: Everything was perfect for us and there was everything we needed, no complains at all.

Pros: The house is in a great location, very centrally located, but at the same time on a quiet side street. The building is old but the apartment has been recently renovated and offers everything one could need. The owner is very friendly, responds promptly to anything needed and takes an active interest in the tenants' good stay.

Cons: The wc was rather small, but this is not something that can be changed. People over 190cm should consider it.

The hostess makes the stay. She went above and beyond to help us and make us feel comfortable.

Pros: The location was awesome!!! Right in the center of the old city. 2min walk to hagia sofia mosque. Brilliant location!!! Excellent restaurant next door and ocean view.

Cons: Literally nothing. Everything was perfect.
